Tecnicomar S.p.A. expands its portfolio of international certifications for onboard black and grey water treatment systems in the ECOmar line.

In addition to the DNV certifications already obtained — Module D (MED D), Module B (MED B) and Type Approval, in compliance with Directive 2014/90/EU and Regulation (EU) 2025/1533 — three new certifications have been added:

  • MER (Module D and Module B) — British certification under the Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) Regulations 2025 and (UK) MSN 1874 Amendment 11, for the ECOmar SX model
  • CCS Type Approval — Chinese certification under the GB 3552-2018 standard (par. 5.2.2) and IMO Resolution MEPC.227(64), for the ECOmar SX and ECOmar S models
  • CRS Type Approval — Croatian certification under CRS rules for technical supervision of ships, Part 22 – Pollution Prevention, and IMO Resolution MEPC.227(64), for the ECOmar SX and ECOmar S models

The new certifications enable the installation of ECOmar systems on vessels flying the British, Chinese and Croatian flags, further expanding the markets in which Tecnicomar products can be deployed in regulatory compliance.
